Here’s some helpful tips from other sellers who have already gone through the process!

1.  Do not buy a replacement home before selling the old one. 

2.  Do not base the price on the price you would like rather than on the market value.

3.  Do not base the list price of your home on the value of the upgrades you have added.

4.  Do not refuse to reduce a list price that is too high for the market.

5.  Do not refuse to counter a low offer. 

6.  Do not insist on being present when the home is shown to prospective buyers. 

7.  Do not put the home on the market before it is spruced up.

8.  Do not refuse to make necessary repairs, cleaning and de-cluttering . 

9.  Do not list or sell with a contingency to find a replacement home. 

10. Do not set up a complicated showing procedure that discourages showings.
